Behind The Sun

The drizzly, darkness of winter seems to have appeared. I have that horrible numb feeling in my brain from a rather horrible cold. So this blog post may not make muuuuuch sense. Hehe! We did have one last lovely weekend of beautiful weather however and the papers went mad calling it our Indian Summer. So in natural Brit fashion we took to the park with picnic in hand and disposable bbq in the other.

Now this is my first outfit post so please be kind... I have managed to find myself a lovely pair of wine coloured skinny jeans for the winter months. Coloured trousers - jeans and chinos are becoming a big winter trend for women and men. Imagine my joy when instead of teaming these jeans with chunky jumpers I was able to wear a strappy top - in SEPTEMBER! :)

Head scarf: Charlotte Taylor
Top: Topshop
Jeans: Urban Outfitters
Shoes: Miss Selfridge
Bag: Primark

More posts soon - the fashion weeks have not gone unnoticed!! I am now going back to my hot chocolate, blanket and Red Hot Chili Peppers 'What Hits' and the talking dolphin.

Speak soon lovelies!

Feeling Frilly

With all the rain I am already starting to think about Summer! Have found a couple of pieces that I can't wait to wear once the sun starts shining again. This dress is from Primark and I was immediately drawn to the print. It reminded me of vintage fabric and even though every other person will probably have this dress I still think something about it is unique and interesting. These sweet frilly shoes were found in the Topshop sale! I am very pleased I have finally bought these shoes as I have been lusting after them for quite some time!! They were perfect to go with a dress that I had for a wedding. Here is the dress, it is from Great Plains and I snapped it up at a French Connection Sample sale for £15!!!So as you can probably tell I will be wearing some frills this summer - and I can't wait!!

Hope you are all staying warm and dry!!

Christmas Wishes

Now that Christmas is just around the corner I thought I would share with you a few items from my Xmas Wish List...
Now this may be my last blog post until after Christmas as I am not taking my laptop to my parents... Buuuut you will get a full update before the new year on all Christmas merriment I am sure! I also need to share with you all my experience with French Connection, which will be a mammoth post since I enjoyed it so much and learnt loads!

I will also say now, if I don't get the chance, that my blog will be one on new years day!!! Crazy that I have been only blogging a year and lots of fantastic things have happened - but more on that on new years day (hopefully without too big a hangover!)

For now I wish you a Happy Christmas and hope that Father Christmas brings you everything you wished for!!!

Holly Fulton

Bright, cheerful, graphic prints. I wasn't disappointed when walking into Holly Fulton's hut at Topshop's Newgen exhibition. I really enjoy Holly Fulton's work - her use of colour and print are bold and beautiful. The design features some very angular hummingbirds and it symmetrical, almost sculptural. Also in her hut I met the lovely lovely people behind Young British Designers!! Adriana's hands featured here (above) holding a beautiful print with chains and birds.I think this is my favorite print - it looks like stained glass and features tropical plants, birds and tigers. Some of my favorites from the collection. Best Wishes

Layer Up

Looking forward to Autumn and Winter already... Although I dislike the cold it really does offer a greater variety of clothing and outfits. Woolly jumpers layered up with coats, scarfs and hats. Really looking forward to new Topshop collections there looks like there are going to be some interesting trends this winter.

I love everything about this out fit! That blouse may be at the top of my Christmas list!

If I am honest I really like all these outfits. I also think that with a bit of thrifting and shopping around they could be recreated. The colours and wools are autumnal hues and I think look very chic and warm. Can imagine kicking through leaves and drink hot chocolate in any of these looks. But I will be enjoying summer until that point - who knows how long it will last, but I will not be wishing it a way. Hope you have had lovely weekends!

Love or Hate?

Anarchy Multi Buckle Wedges in Grey and Cream
I personally love these boots but I think my feet may be too narrow for them... When I next pop in to Topshop I will try them on.

But what are your thoughts? Love or hate?
