Yasmin Kianfar

Right my first proper London Fashion Week post!! Whilst wandering around Vauxhall Fashion Scout I came across the lovely Yasmin Kianfar, a recent Central St Martins Graduate. I was immediately drawn in to the simple silk garments with laser cut shapes. Her inspiration stems from 1920's erotica and Lingerie. Sheers and opaques are mixed together to give subtle glances at the body beneath. I am personally very drawn to the laser cut technique she has used. As well as literal bondage and underwear interpretations this more subtle approach is very pleasing to the eye and very desirable and unfrightening to wear. I fell in love with a simple white silk t shirt shaped dress. (Details photographed above)

The collection is a mixture of delicate grey hues, whites, camels and black. With different weights of fabric from sheer to blazer fabric. I think it is a very desirable collection and I would like to fill my wardrobe with it.

But don't just take my word for it look at some of the images from her lookbook and decide for yourself. As Leonardo da Vinci says 'Simplicity is the ultimate Sophistication.' This is how I feel about this collection. I will be keeping my eyes open for what this talented designer does next!!

Photographs are from Yasmin's website which can be found Here.
